The main point is that every child should learn keyboard typing nowadays. 

The reason I say this is that keyboard typing is the best way to deliver one's mind to the digital world. It likes a brain-machine interface, but without any hurt to our body.

What matters is not how we express with keyboard fast, but how we express with keyboard fluently.  

It may seem that keyboard typing is very simple and everyone can manage it in a short time, but actually I've found that many people cannot type with right fingers, even not mention typing without seeing the keyboard. 

Even if we will have a much better voice typing tool, it doesn't necessarily mean that keyboard typing will become useless. The key question is whether a typing method can express and frame opinions easily. Obviously, voice typing is more complex than keyboard typing.

A good example of this is coding with AI. Although we can use natural language to complete a programming task, most programmers are still using keyboard for its accurency.

Instead of expecting a better typing tool, we should let our children train the skill of keyboard typing. 

The main lesson I took from my entire life is that the most basic skills are the most important skills.

Instead of waiting for a better input tool, we should help our children develop fluent typing skills now.

The main lesson I took from this is that basic skills often become more important, not less important, as technology advances.
